We are pleased to announce that the National Association for Inbound and Domestic Tourism of Moldova (ANTRIM) has officially become a member of the Pact for Skills, the European Commission initiative dedicated to professional skills development and lifelong learning, in the context of the digital and green transition.
By joining the Pact for Skills, ANTRIM becomes part of an extensive European network of organizations, public and private institutions, working together to address current labor market challenges and to strengthen the skills of the workforce in key sectors, including the tourism ecosystem.
Launched by the European Commission as part of the European Skills Agenda, the Pact for Skills aims primarily to support initiatives for upskilling (developing and enhancing existing skills) and reskilling (acquiring new skills needed to change or adapt professional roles) through strategic partnerships between relevant actors at local, national, and European levels. The initiative promotes investment in skills, cross-sector cooperation, and the development of training programs tailored to the real needs of the labor market.
Being a member of the Pact for Skills provides ANTRIM with:
access to a European platform for cooperation and sharing best practices;
the opportunity to participate in sectoral partnerships in tourism;
the opportunity to facilitate training and reskilling programs for tourism workers, in collaboration with educational institutions and professional training centers;
European-level visibility for national training initiatives;
access to information, resources, and support tools for professional skills development;
access to European funding and logistical support for implementing skills development initiatives.
This membership strengthens ANTRIM’s role as a key actor in the sustainable development of tourism in the Republic of Moldova, contributing to improved quality of tourism services and preparing specialists to meet the evolving demands of the industry.
We believe that ANTRIM’s involvement in the Pact for Skills is an important step for the professional development of tourism in Moldova and for supporting lifelong learning. We believe that through this initiative, we can bring European standards and best practices closer, helping the local tourism industry become more competitive and innovative.
