BSB-831 Project with the title “ESTABLISHING LONG-LASTING PARTNERSHIPS TO UPGRADE HERITAGE-BASED OFFERS AND CREATE NEW INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN TOURISM AND THE CULTURAL AND CREATIVE INDUSTRIES AT UNESCO DESIGNATED AREAS IN THE BLACK SEA BASIN” has the specific project goal to jointly promote business and entrepreneurship in the tourism and cultural sectors.
The objectives of the project are to strengthen the cross border heritage productivity and competitiveness by investing in human capital, reform supply-demand with product-process innovation & common service standards and maximise cooperation to ensure competitiveness and business extroversion.
During KICK-OFF Meeting, each partner has presented its main activity and previous efforts and the staff members involved in the implementation of the project.
Examples of good practices relating to the project have been presented by Aldo Di Russo, Cultural Heritage Audiovisual Professional specifically on the E-books in cultural heritage promotion and consumption. A virtual study tour at the Archaeological Site of Philippi UNESCO World Heritage Site was undertaken by participants and lastly, upcoming steps were defined.
The project has a implementation period 30 months and includes the participation of 6 project partners, namely:
Development Agency of Kavala (Greece);
The “Danube Black Sea” University Foundation (Romania);
Union of Bulgarian Black Sea Local Authorities (Bulgaria);
National Inbound Tourism Association of Moldova (Moldova);
Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University (Georgia);
Eastern Back Sea Development Agency (Turkey).
ANTRIM has the institutional and technical capacity to achieve the project impact at national level. Through the experience, networking and connection with local stakeholders in tourism/CCI, ANTRIM will ensure continuation of works in the post-project phase benefitting 10 main groups of stakeholders, especially among authorities, experts, residents and businesses, cultural events organizers can be covered by ANTRIM. ANTRIM has the ability to attract new investments in the Pilot Project Area (Geamana UNESCO site) and build new forms of tourism to improve cultural initiatives and accessibility to historical sites.
Empowering the local communities in helping the project partners achieving the results of the project, ANTRIM will participate at 6 PM Meetings& Workshops contributing to the project progress and verification. It will implement a 10 geo-locations heritage corridor around the UNESCO enlisted site of the Struve Geodetic Arc in Geamana, will participate at 6 CB Study Visits and Evaluation Workshops and the Global Tourism Fair ITB 2022 gaining knowledge and experience in tourism planning, while broadening its international network.
ANTRIM will deliver the HERITAGE EXPERIENCE INVENTORY, that is a unique tourism planning tool exploiting the narrative powers of storytelling. ANTRIM will disseminate innovative policies and recommendations generated by HERIPRENEURSHIP during the implementation and post-implementation phase.
Joint Operational Programme Black Sea Basin 2014-2020 is co-financed by the European Union through the European Neighbourhood Instrument and by the participating countries: Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine.
