Meet the Winners of the “FRIENDLY FOR TOURISM” Small Grants Competition

The “Friendly for Tourism” project, funded by Efes Moldova and implemented in partnership with ANTRIM, continues to support the development of local tourism by investing in innovative ideas and authentic experiences.

 

Tourism in Moldova is developing not only through the promotion of well-known destinations, but also thanks to people who come up with new ideas, respond to visitors’ needs and transform local spaces into memorable experiences.

As part of the “Friendly for Tourism” project, tourism entrepreneurs and organisations submitted their initiatives for support. Following a thorough selection process, 7 projects were selected as winners and will receive funding to turn their ideas into reality.

From family-friendly spaces and wellness experiences to creative workshops, equestrian tourism and immersive experiences in nature, the selected projects reflect the growing diversity of Moldova’s tourism offer.

What projects will come to life?

1. Grădina Marioarei Guesthouse – Vălcineț, Călărași
The guesthouse will create a recreational space for children, making the destination more attractive and enjoyable for families visiting the Călărași area.

2. Dincolo de oraș – Mărdăreuca, Criuleni
The project will develop and launch woodworking workshops, giving visitors the opportunity to discover traditional craftsmanship and take part in the creative process. The indoor space will also be equipped with a stove, creating a warm and welcoming setting for activities.

3. Eco Resort Butuceni – Butuceni, Orhei
The open-air theatre stage at Opera Butuceni will be equipped with folding chairs, improving visitor comfort and supporting the development of outdoor cultural experiences.

4. Laguna Family Resort – Molovata Nouă, Dubăsari
A new Wellness & SPA area will be created for guests, diversifying the resort’s leisure and relaxation offer in this destination on the Dniester River.

5. Ograda cu Salcâmi – Răciula, Călărași
The guesthouse’s recreation area will be equipped with new facilities, creating more opportunities for visitors to relax and spend their free time while enhancing their overall experience.

6. AO “Clubul de Hipism Sparta” – Budești, Chișinău
The project will support the development of the finishing point of a tourist trail, completing the visitor experience and creating a dedicated space where the journey can come to an end.

7. Zen Resort & SPA – Purcari, Ștefan Vodă
Zen Resort & SPA will develop the immersive “Silent Forest” experience, focusing on connection with nature, tranquillity and sensory exploration.

The seven projects show that tourism development can start with simple but well-adapted ideas that respond to the needs of visitors and make the most of each destination’s unique character.

A dedicated children’s area can make a guesthouse more appealing to families. A woodworking workshop can turn craftsmanship into an interactive tourism experience. An outdoor stage can become more accessible to audiences, while nature can inspire new wellness and immersive experiences.

By supporting these initiatives, “Friendly for Tourism” contributes to diversifying Moldova’s tourism products and creating new reasons for both local and international visitors to explore the country.
