The Republic of Moldova was presented exclusively as a tourist destination at the New Deal Europe Marketplace 2022

On April 4th and 11th, the Republic of Moldova was presented exclusively as a tourist destination at the New Deal Europe Marketplace 2022, an event that annually connects the main buyers and suppliers in the Balkan tourism field. This year, Moldova had a special presence at the event with the presentation of the tourist offer in London, at the live event, but also through the presence of the Event Director – Robert Dee in Chisinau from where he opened the virtual B2B session on April 11th.

Through his visit to the Republic of Moldova, Robert Dee wanted to highlight the fact that it is safe to travel to Moldova even in the difficult period in which we find ourselves and that this tourist destination deserves to be visited by European tourists. During the official meeting of Mr. Dee with the Minister of Culture, Mr. Sergiu Prodan was reiterated the support of the New Deal Europe team in promoting Moldova as an authentic, safe and important tourist destination to be discovered.

Robert Dee, co-founder of New Deal Europe: “We were delighted to welcome Moldova to the New Deal Europe family this year, along with 12 other Balkan countries. Many operators clearly want to know more about Moldova, the least visited country in Europe, and we are pleased to play a role in promoting tourism there. Like other Balkan destinations, it offers excellent sustainable tourism locations, perfect for the post-pandemic world.”

The marketplace took place in offline and online format, where 200 tourist customers from 38 countries met with 148 suppliers from all 12 countries in the Balkan region and South-Eastern Europe. The event reached the record of 3000 B2B meetings, conducted between participants, with the aim of stimulating tourism during the crisis period.

ANTRIM alongside Courtyard by Marriott and Tatrabis was participating on 4th april at the live event at New Deal Europe.

The tourism representatives from Moldova have established prearranged appointments, thus will be meeting with decision makers from travel companies from more than 10 Balkan countries.

The executive director of ANTRIM has reinforced the position of Moldova on international tourism arena by making a destination presentation and regardless the shocks the tourism in Moldova has been thriving to resist to, it is with great hospitality that tourism experience providers from Moldova expect to welcome tourists from all around the world.

Antrim Executive Director, Natalia Turcanu participated as a speaker at the event and presented the touristic offer of the Republic of Moldova, emphasizing how important it is to support our companies in their development efforts, in a not at all easy period for this field.
